The COVID-19 virus pandemic has become a global challenge. It is time for the retail industry to rigorously check compliance with the state of emergency.
The company operates in 280 settlements in 24 regions of Ukraine, many of which are located in district centers and large villages. In the conditions of restriction or cancellation of long-distance and suburban passenger traffic during the epidemic, the availability of essential products and goods for the residents of these settlements will be as important as the availability of medicines.
However, the company is aware that the pandemic situation can significantly affect the industry. It has already changed consumer sentiment and technology, in particular the transition to contactless sales worldwide. Thus, Nielsen's customer service experts indicate that 41% of those surveyed in cities of Ukraine with the population of 50,000 or more claim that they have experience in ordering food delivery online. At the same time, 9% began to use delivery more often during the last week. At the same time, 53% of respondents say they have dramatically reduced their food consumption outside home.
One of the effective means of responding to the situation, the company believes, is the extension of the ordering service and delivery of products to the client. Thus, ATB Corporation together with Rozetka and Nova Poshta launch a service for the remote purchase of three types of food kits and hygiene products. The order will run in express mode and be executed in one day.
Reference. ATB Corporation is an association of large Ukrainian companies operating in such areas as retail, asset management, food production and sales, sports and leisure services. More than 64 thousand employees work at the enterprises of ATB Corporation.
